To Erith Pier to look on the Thames' Foreshore for Avocets

Not that we actually expected to see an Avocet but we did see them by the Pier earlier this year viz. during January-2019.

Since the forecast Rain didn't materialise, after visiting the Post Office to send on a Packet of New Zealand Stamps, we caught the Bus to Erith and then walked along the Thames Path before turning off onto the Footpath that runs down to Crabtree Manorway North.

Bird' Species seen:

Black-Tailed Godwit
Carrion Crow
Chaffinch (first of the Year on the 'Patch') viz.


Common Gull
Cormorant
Dunnock (first of the Year on the 'Patch')
Ferral Pigeon
Gadwall
Goldfinch
Herring Gull
House Sparrow
Lesser Black-Backed Gull 
Linnet viz.


Little Egret viz.


Magpie
Mallard
Pied Wagtail viz.


Redshank
Starling viz.


and Teal

Twenty Species but still no Blackbird.

Also: Black Nightshade, Bristly Oxtongue, Gallant/Shaggy SoldierHerb Robert, Narrow-Leaved RagwortSea Aster and White Dead-Nettle.
