Something Unusual Close to Home

We were almost Home when we noticed an Unusual (for us at least) Plant growing on the Pavement.

We wondered if it might be a Sandwort. It wasn't but it was a Member of the Pink Family, as are the Sandworts. It is Four-Leaved Allseed viz.

Four-Leaved Allseed is on the Kent Rare Plant Register and a new Record for us in our local Monad.

We subsequently found another Plant a few yards away viz.

The following Day, we found a Small Population of Plants growing nearby (again, in the local Monad) viz.

The Records have been Submitted to the Kent Botanical Recording Group (KBRG). We understand that the Plant is spreading in the KBRG area and that our Records are among the early Records to evidence this Trend.

OK: so nothing particularly Special but it goes to show that we don't always need to travel too far to find Something Unusual.

Footnote: Other Kent Rare Plant Register' Species knowingly seen in the local Monad are: Annual Beard-Grass, Jersey Cudweed and Rue-Leaved Saxifrage.
