Avian Enchantments

After the threat of a Thunderstorm had passed (we heard Thunder but were spared any Rain) we trotted forth with the hopes of seeing some flowering Sea Milkwort on the Thames Foreshore in the Corinthian Manorway area. Well: there were no flowers to be seen and the Plants themselves looked pretty woebegone.

Undeterred, we wandered round to the area of the Outfall and Derelict Jetty/Wharf viz.

And looking down we passed an Enchanting Hour or so, watching the various Birds going about their Business viz.

a (young we think) Blackbird viz.

a Blue Tit viz.

two Carrion Crows
a Collared Dove viz.

a few Feral Pigeons viz.

an assumed (young) Great Black-Backed Gull (super-chunky beak) viz.

a Grey Heron (standing on the Derelict Jetty/Wharf)
a Grey Wagtail viz.

a few Goldfinches viz.

lots of House Sparrows viz.

a Linnet
a Magpie viz.

a few Mallards
a Moorhen viz.

a Pied Wagtail viz.

lots of Starlings viz.

 and a Wood Pigeon viz.

Elsewhere on the Mud and beside the Thames (at some distance) we noticed some Black-Headed Gulls, a couple of Oystercatchers and a couple of Shelducks.

On the River, General Cargo Vessel, Yassam Rose, was heading downstream viz

and aircraft flying into London City Airport included BA CityFlyer, Embraer ERJ 190-100 SR aircraft, Registration G-LCYO viz.
