Butterflies beside the Upper Bedon Stream
There were four Comma Butterflies, a Red Admiral Butterfly * (see below) and a Speckled Wood Butterfly.
We walked beside the Upper Bedon Stream and then round the Holly Hill Open Space.
Wild Flowers (in flower) included:
Black Horehound
Buck's-Horn Plantain
Common Mallow
Common Ragwort
Common Stork's-Bill viz.
Cow Parsley viz.
Daisy
Dandelion
Green Alkanet
Sow-Thistle viz.
and Yarrow viz.
Red Admiral Butterflies also seen in the Garden (at Home) and on the Holly Hill Open Space.
