The 'Patchwork Challenge' 2017 ~ half-way through the Year

We made no progress towards our Target of 60 Bird' Species during June: hardly surprisng since we didn't really spend any time looking for Birds during the Month.

That being said, we did spend some time by the Lake beside Church Manorway, watching the young Coots, Little Grebes, Mallards and Moorhens. And we remain hopeful of something unusual turning up on the Lake viz. a Tufted Duck perhaps?

As the Year progresses further we are still hoping to add a Little Egret (a 2-Pointer), a Mediterranean Gull (a 2-Pointer), a Mute Swan, a Peregrine Falcon (a 2-pointer) or a Yellow-Legged Gull (yet another 2-Pointer). All of which were seen during 2016. We must be patient.

We nominally compete in the 'Inland South' League.

As at 30 June, the Sightings (53 Species) are as follows viz.
