A Wool Carder Bee in the Garden (at Home)

As we have said before, we always like to see a Wool Carder Bee: and particularly on Lamb's-Ear viz.

There it was: resting on the Money Plant (out in the Garden for the Summer) viz.

We are becoming Increasingly Wary of Twitter

Sad to say so but with the recent changes to Twitter we seem to be seeing things we didn't see before: a lot of a Political nature, including lots of Climate Change related stuff. There is an increasing nastiness (swearing is apparently entirely acceptable because people are 'angry') and intolerance, which we are finding totally depressing.

Hopefully things will settle down over the next few weeks.

A Wool Carder Bee in the Garden (at Home)

We always like to see a Wool Carder Bee: and particularly on Lamb's-Ear.

And perhaps because Wool Carder Bees are one of the handful of Bees that we are generally able to identify!

As Autumn approaches

With Autumn approaching, it will soon be time to think about Lichens and Mosses again viz.

We find some Ivy Broomrape growing beside the Upper Bedon Stream

Retracing our steps beside the Upper Bedon Stream (we were out looking for Butterflies) we glanced downwards and thought. 'how did we miss that?'. Around one hundred (100) spikes of Ivy Broomrape! Wow: Butterflies were completely forgotten.
